The Saint Mary Help of ALL Youth Chapel. It is located inside the Don Bosco Technical School Campus in Kep Province. It was finished in 2015. The chapel was designed in Angkorian Style, inspired in the Angkor Wat Libraries, forming a cross. We are looking for funds to finish the decoration, especially to make a representation of Jesus as protector of ALL children and youth.
As we are in a Buddhist country and Don Bosco Kep welcomes children and youth from different religions and Christian denominations, we want to call our Chapel with the name “Mary Help of ALL Youth” to remark that special meaning of the Love of the Lord for all mankind, without any distinction or discrimination. We do not make religious propaganda to those we support, because we help any child and young person through the loving-kindness of the Lord without the intention to cause conversions, but with the only purpose of sharing the love and mercy of the Lord without waiting for nothing in exchange.
In this sense, a Buddhist, Muslim, Animist child can enter the Chapel without any constriction and finding a place of prayer, meditation, reflection. We are inspired by John 3:8: “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
A Mass Intention is a particular purpose for which a specific Mass is offered. You can ask it for reasons like this:
- For the recovery of a sick person.
- For the birthday of a love person.
- For the wedding anniversary.
- For deceased persons.
- For general intentions of a group or family.
- For peace in a country.
It is Biblical in many parts. In James 5:16 says “pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working”.
Our daily Mass is celebrated from Monday to Friday at 18:20 and Saturday at 18:00. On Sundays we moved to the Catholic Parish of Kampot City (Saint Agustin) where we gather with the Catholic community of Kampot and Kep province.
The Mass is animated by the Don Bosco Brother Sun Children, singing everyday. The Mass is celebrated in Khmer Language.
