The ancient Bokator, the Khmer martial art, is one of the oldest existing fighting systems in Cambodia. Oral tradition indicates that Bokator, or an early form of it, was the close quarter combat system used by the armies before Angkor, 1700 years ago.
The Kohtralaok Dance is a traditional Cambodian performance where the knocking of coconut shells plays along with traditional music. It is also a dance of courtship in the Cambodian farming areas, especially where coconut trees dominate the countryside of provinces such as Koh Kong, Sihanoukville, Kampot or Kep and many others. The young men look to court the girl they like.
